Chorley Wins the Peoria Prestige in Dramatic Playoff

The Summer Tour made its first trip to Trilogy at Vistancia Golf Club for the Peoria Prestige, and twenty-nine players showed up ready to play. When the cards came in, three of them — Jonathan Chorley, Ken Galica, and Casey Hatch — were all sitting at net 67. The title would have to be decided the old-fashioned way.

The Playoff

With roughly ten tour members gathered around the first tee, the three players headed back out. On hole 1, all three missed the green. Hatch faced a delicate chip over a bunker that just rolled back off the edge, and he missed his par putt. Galica and Chorley both hit nice chips inside four feet and converted — eliminating Casey and sending the two of them to the par-3 second.

At 150 yards, Chorley went first and landed about 30 feet short of the hole, right on line. Galica appeared to clear the bunker on the right and be pin high on the fringe — but upon closer inspection, his ball had caught the top of the lip and rolled back in. He hit a quality shot out but couldn't convert the 10-footer for par. Chorley calmly two-putted to win the playoff and bank 500 Desert Cup points.

The Leaderboard

Galica takes second and Hatch third — both at net 67 on the card. The cut fell at net 73, with 15 players making it through. Brennon Shay and Dale Cohen — the top two in the Desert Cup standings — both came in over the number and walked away with nothing on the points side. That's the nature of the race. The field of 29 was competitive top to bottom.

The 2-Man Match

The individual playoff wasn't the only drama on the day. The Chorley brothers — playing for the Cleveland Chad Browns — defeated Joel Miller and Jim Black of Emergency 9, 1 up. On a day when Andrew didn't have his best stuff, Jonathan carried the team with what was described as one of the best short game displays in Summer Tour history. The match was tight throughout — the Chorleys were never down, but never up by more than two. Miller and Black kept it interesting all the way to 18, where Jonathan sank his final par to seal the win. In doing so, the Chad Browns secured their spot in the first-ever best-of-3 Two-Man Championship Series.

Skins & CTPs

Casey Hatch won the gross and net skin on hole 2 with a birdie 2, and also swept both CTPs on holes 2 and 17. PJ Singh took the gross skin on hole 7 with a 2. Jim Pickus swept both the gross and net skin on hole 10. Chris Kazienko won the gross skin on hole 11, Daniel Breidenbach took the net skin on hole 6, and Ken Galica closed out the net skins on hole 16 — and claimed the CTP on hole 12. Each skin paid $36.25.

What's Next

The tour heads to Longbow Golf Club on July 12 for the Player's Championship — the third major of the 2026 season. Points are worth 1.5x the standard scale, which means the standings are about to get reshuffled in a hurry. With Shay and Cohen sitting on top and a pack of players within striking distance, this one matters.
